At The Perk, we take our work seriously—just not too seriously. We believe that leadership, culture, & growth thrive in environments that are engaging, energizing, & yes… sometimes a little messy. That’s why confetti is more than just a design choice for us—it’s a representation of what we stand for. 

 

Confetti = Celebration & Recognition 

Confetti isn’t just about parties; it’s about people. We believe in celebrating individuals for who they are & who they’re becoming. We celebrate effort, growth, & the messy, non-linear process of learning & leading. Research even backs this up—according to a Gallup study, employees who feel recognized are 63% more likely to stay at their jobs. Recognition fuels belonging, performance, & engagement. So yes, we throw confetti. Because the leaders & teams we work with deserve to be celebrated. 

Confetti = Playful Learning That Works 

Learning should be enjoyable. If leadership development feels like a corporate snooze-fest, what’s the point? People learn best when they’re engaged, curious, & having fun. Play & experimentation help unlock creativity, problem-solving, & deeper learning. The brain literally retains information better when it’s paired with positive emotions. Confetti reminds us to make room for joy in the process—because growth happens when we want to show up.

Confetti = Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone 

You know what people are not used to seeing at work? Confetti. And that’s exactly why it matters.

That’s why, when we come in to do a training, we intentionally set up the room differently from what people experience in their day-to-day work. The space, the energy, the activities—it’s all designed to signal that this isn’t just another meeting. It’s an opportunity to see things in a new way, to play, to experiment, & to stretch outside of our comfort zones. 

Research shows that engaging in playful, unexpected activities builds adaptability—one of the most critical skills for high-performing teams. So yes, we use confetti. Because doing things differently leads to thinking differently, & that leads to breakthroughs.

At The Perk, we believe culture isn’t built in one big moment—it’s created in the small, everyday actions that add up over time. Every time you give a meaningful shout-out, show appreciation, listen deeply, or spark joy at work, you’re adding a confetto—a tiny piece of something bigger.
